Mask Explorations
Twirl has created five different pathways for teachers, parents and children ages pre-K to 5th grade to explore and learn about masks and mask-making. Within each pathway are fun instructional videos, questions to generate discussion, suggestions for extension activities and resources for further information.
The content is designed so that you can use each exploration independently or as a whole. The activities and resources are grouped into PreK- 5th grade and 3rd -5th Grade, to offer older children an opportunity to explore topics a little deeper.
Through these explorations, we will discover why masks have been such a vital part of human culture. We will learn about the different ways and reasons people wear masks, and the various emotions they can make us feel. We will share different techniques for creating your own mask at home with simple everyday materials.
