Community Events
Twirl is known for its own signature annual events like Twirl Aglow, Halloweenie, the Global Cardboard Challenge, Kid’s Crawl and The Paseo. These large-scale events bring our community together in play, celebration and creativity, and have become fixtures on the Taos events calendar. You can find wonderful videos and photos from all of them on our Facebook page . We also host regular monthly events on-site in the Twirl playroom and in our beautiful playgrounds, as well as participating in events in the Taos community.

Saturday, August 1st 12 - 2pm Twirl at Taos Library Summer Reading Finale Join Twirl at this celebration of summer reading with zip line fun!
Wednesday, August 5th 4 - 6pm Lactation Celebration at Twirl In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, join us for free, fun family activities, snacks, raffle and more! All families welcome.
Thursday, July 2nd 12 - 1pm Taos Loves Kids Mom's Group at Twirl Calm Minds, Connected Hearts, a mindful space for Moms to stress less and connect more. Bring your little ones, meet friends and learn about resources for new parents. This will be an ongoing group happening the 1st Thursday of every month in the Twirl playroom.
Thursday, August 6th 3 - 6pm Twirl at Taos Community Schools Carnival at Parr Field Join Twirl at this celebration of Taos Community Schools with zipline fun!
Monday, August 10th 3:30 - 5:30pm Twirl at Arroyos del Norte School Open House Come make your own squish toys with Twirl!
Saturday, August 15th 11am - 1pm Cardboard Play Day at Twirl We’re celebrating our 6th annual Cardboard Play Day! At this FREE event, families are invited to unleash their creativity by building forts, and mazes, designing games or instruments, crafting wearable crowns, wings, armor or anything else you can dream up. We'll have cardboard, recycled materials, paint and all the tools you need to play, create and explore!

Saturday, August 22nd 11am - 12pm Wee Yogis at Twirl A joyful yoga and music adventure for all ages — littles with caregivers welcome! Taught by Alana Lee.
Sunday, August 23rd 11:00am - 1:00pm Fiber Foundations at Twirl We continue to explore the basics of fiber arts. Get ready to stitch, weave, and create! Families will create colorful yarn art, practice simple embroidery, finger knit or learn to make a friendship bracelet. Along the way, they'll build fine motor skills, pattern recognition, creativity, and confidence while discovering that with a little thread and imagination, they can make something truly special! And remember that parking is free on Sundays!
Saturday, August 29th 11:00am - 1:00pm STEAM Saturday at Twirl DISTURBANCE — Fire, Forests & the Future!Join Twirl for a special STEAM adventure exploring wildfire, forest ecology, and regeneration through hands-on activities with scientists, artists, and wildland fire specialists. Families will experiment, create, and discover how fire shapes our forests, and how we can care for the landscapes All ages welcome!
PLAYLABZ at Twirl Our FREE, drop-in Saturdays where play meets STEAM. Through hands-on activities, you’ll discover how different toys connect to the world of learning and ignite your imagination. Come play, learn, create and explore with us!
STEAM Saturdays A FREE hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) adventure where kids and families make real-world connections through play!
FIBER Foundations Join us on the 3rd Sunday of each month from May 17 through September 20th as we explore the basics of fiber arts. Experiment with texture, color, creativity, and simple science while creating unique handmade projects to take home.
